Good & Evil ~ From a Spiritual Perspective

Why do the concepts of good and evil even exist? What purpose to they serve for our spiritual growth? Almost every spiritual school of thought, no matter how they present, of the concepts of duality and non-duality. Yin-Yang – Unity. We’re often taught that we are all divine, but we still strongly believe in the concepts of good and evil. Is this simply due to evolution? Good promotes survival of the fittest and evil makes it less likely. Is it due to there being a God and Devil at war with each other. One, both or neither of those perspectives may be true, but it doesn’t matter, because neither perspective really gives an answer to the question. Assuming that there is a purpose to life, why does good and evil exist, and how do we wrap our minds around the paradox of divinity, union, we’re all God’s children, with our every day strongly held convictions that this act is wrong/evil and that act is good/bad.
